KAIJUU

A note from our founders

Built from a real business. Made for yours.

Kaijuu started with a problem we knew all too well.

We started CraftsMill as a furniture manufacturing business, selling directly to customers through Shopify. We loved creating furniture, designing new products and building something of our own.

But as the business grew, managing everything behind each order became increasingly complicated.

A dining set might be sold as one product, but it could contain a table and six chairs. Those chairs might also be sold individually or as part of several other sets. Every order needed to be broken down into the right products, every piece of stock needed to be accounted for, and every shortage needed to be identified.

Then came the next questions. Which supplier or workshop should handle each item? What was already available? What needed purchasing? What had been received? And how could we make sure everyone, from the office to the people working on the ground, knew exactly what needed to happen next?

As we grew, spreadsheets, scattered messages and manual coordination became difficult to manage. We needed something that understood how our business actually worked.

So we built CM Tools, an internal application designed around our own day-to-day operations.

It helped us organise customer orders, understand bundled products, manage inventory and coordinate the people responsible for getting everything ready.

Over time, we realised these weren't problems unique to furniture. Shopify merchants selling gift sets, personalised products, assembled goods and many other products face similar challenges.

That's how Kaijuu came to life.

We took what we'd learned from running a real manufacturing and e-commerce business and began building a simpler, more accessible tool for other Shopify merchants.

Our goal is to bring orders, bundles, inventory, suppliers and purchasing together, without making everyday operations unnecessarily complicated.

And we're only getting started.

We're working towards a mobile app for team members on the ground, so picking, packing and other day-to-day work can be managed wherever it happens. After launch, we also plan to expand Kaijuu with bill-of-materials and manufacturing-management capabilities.

But what matters most to us is building something people genuinely find useful.

If you run a Shopify business and have ever struggled to keep orders, inventory and your team working together, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us what works, what doesn't and what you wish your current tools could do.

Your feedback will help shape what Kaijuu becomes.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
