How to map one Shopify SKU to multiple item SKUs

Model a kit or set as direct item quantities while preserving the original order line.

01

Choose the product the customer buys

Start with the Shopify variant used for the set or kit. Do not add that same product as one of the items inside itself.

02

Add the individual items

Choose each product included in the set and enter a positive whole quantity.

  • Use each item once
  • Add the products directly rather than placing a bundle inside another bundle
  • Keep the list to 30 distinct items or fewer
03

Check the quantity maths

Multiply every item by a realistic order quantity. For example, three sets that each use two candles require six candles.

Business example

Four desk sets need twelve separate products

Each desk set contains one desk, one chair and one desk lamp.
