How to manage made-to-order information in Shopify

Keep customer-entered details and internal handling notes visible without confusing notes with a configurator.

01

Separate input from approval

Order notes and line attributes can carry customer-entered text. They do not, by themselves, create a confirmed configuration or approval workflow.

02

Create a clear handoff

Keep accessible Shopify text visible in the order view and add staff instructions for delivery or handling.

  • Do not overwrite the customer text
  • Record who needs the information
  • Check the detail again before packing
03

Know when a specialist tool is needed

If the sale requires visual configuration, edits, customer approval or production stages, notes alone are not enough. Kaijuu does not currently provide those systems.
