How to create a production view for made-to-order products

Turn unfulfilled custom orders into a simple queue without building a full manufacturing system.

01

Build the smallest useful queue

Start with order number, product, custom text, quantity, due date and status. Add fields only when they change a production decision.

02

Do not lose the source order

Every work item should link back to the Shopify order so staff can confirm payment, shipping and customer context before dispatch.

Business example

Three custom cushions sorted by due date

Staff need a small work queue that keeps fabric and embroidery details tied to each Shopify order.

#2102CushionNavy / ARUN15 Nov
#2103BolsterSand / LEO15 Nov
  1. List the open custom lines
  2. Sort by due date
  3. Use the source order for payment and fulfilment checks
